– 01:00hrs 25 May: Leaves Kamwala for Ibex, never arrives.
25 May 2024 – Car Found
– 03:30hrs: Twin Palm Police receive call. White Land Cruiser BAX 3974ZM found abandoned 2.6km from station, engine running, doors unlocked, windscreen shattered.
– Inside: two phones and note: _”DEAR ZAMBIANS AM VERY SORRY PLEASE FORGIVE ME AND STAY BLESSED HON JAY BANDA MP.”
26-27 May 2024 – Found Dumped
– 23:10hrs 26 May: Found at Kasanga Family Farm off Kafue Boys road, near Kafue Bridge. Police: _”complained of general body pains, and bruises were observed on his back.”_
– News Diggers: _”Banda who had gone missing two days ago was found dumped near Kafue Bridge”_
– Taken to Kafue General, then Medlands Hospital Lusaka.
25-28 May 2024 – Voices for His Release Arrested
– Opposition press conference demanding release.
– FDD President *Edith Nawakwi*, Mfuwe MP *Maureen Mabonga*, Lumezi MP *Munir Zulu*, Activist *Brebner Changala*, Apostle *Dan Pule* arrested.
– Nawakwi charged with seditious practices between May 25-28 for saying: _”The disappearance of Jay Jay Banda, the abduction is authorised by the State… The Police know. Hakainde knows.”_

– Files petition in Lusaka High Court vs Attorney General, Levy Ngoma and Clayson Hamasaka (State House aides). Sworn affidavit: _”my motor vehicle was suddenly blocked… six to eight individuals emerged armed…”_ and that Ngoma and Hamasaka arrived after abduction to question him.

– Escapes from lawful custody at Chipata General Hospital night of Aug 4 while under Zambia Correctional Service guard.

– Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu announces: apprehended in Zimbabwe at 10:00hrs, renting flat in Harare. Had been on run over 3 months.

– Emmanuel Mwamba on live broadcast: _”I can confirm that Jay Jay Banda has been captured by Zambian authorities… He was not in Zimbabwe but in Mozambique, where he was hiding. Three vehicles pulled up at his hideout”
