FASHION SAKALA SCORES AGAIN AS AL FAYHA BOOST SURVIVAL HOPES WITH WIN OVER AL KHALEEJ

ZAMBIAN forward Fashion Sakala netted in his fourth straight match as Al Fayha secured a 3-1 victory over Al Khaleej to move onto 20 points and edge further away from the relegation zone.

Fashion Sakala continued his scintillating form, scoring for the fourth consecutive game as Al Fayha claimed a vital 3-1 victory over Al Khaleej, strengthening their push away from the relegation zone.

The hosts made a fast start and were handed the lead in the 16th minute when Hussain Al Sultan turned the ball into his own net, gifting Al Fayha early control of the contest.

That advantage was doubled in the 38th minute through former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, who rose highest to finish clinically after a well-delivered assist from Yassine Benzia.

Al Fayha were relentless in the opening half and wrapped up a dominant first-half display three minutes before the break. Sakala picked up the ball in space, surged forward and produced a fine solo effort, making it 3-0 and sending the home crowd into raptures.

Al Khaleej showed more urgency after the interval and were rewarded late on when Georgios Masouras pulled one back in the 80th minute, but the goal came too late to alter the outcome.

The win lifts Al Fayha to 20 points, further consolidating their bid to steer clear of relegation trouble, while Sakala’s influence continues to grow. The Zambian forward has now registered eight goal contributions this season, six goals and two assists underlining his importance to the club’s survival hopes.
