FORMER BOTSWANA PRESIDENT KHAMA DESCRIBES HICHILEMA AS AFRICA’S NEWEST DICTATOR
Former Botswana President Ian Khama has reportedly described Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema as Africa’s newest dictator.
The remark raises questions about Zambia’s democratic credentials, particularly regarding concerns over political freedoms, democratic governance and the treatment of political opponents under the current administration.
The statement is likely to spark further debate about the state of democracy and respect for human rights in Zambia.
