Former Pentagon official says Iran war could end by November
The Iran war could end as early as November as the US naval blockade and economic pressure bear down on Tehran, former Pentagon official Brent Sadler told Fox News on Thursday.
“The math definitely supports a conclusion of this, just from the fiscal and monetary side of this,” Sadler said on America’s Newsroom, adding that the conflict could end “before the end of the year, but as early as the elections in November.”
Sadler said the US naval blockade and other forms of economic warfare were behind his estimate.
“What Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth are doing against the regime means the clock is ticking at limited cost to the US,” he said.
Sadler also said shipping markets had largely adjusted to Houthi activity in the Red Sea, meaning the impact would be “modest, not zero.”
“I think also the energy markets are never going to go back to where they were in February this year, and have already made significant adjustments,” he added.
