FUEL GOES UP AS ERB REVISES NOVEMBER 2026 PRICES

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has effected a revision of domestic petroleum product prices for November 2026.

In a statement, ERB Board Chairperson James Banda said the revised prices would take effect at midnight on 31 October 2026.

He stated that international oil prices generally continued on an upward trajectory during the period under review because of sustained geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Banda added that the average price of petrol increased from US$121.58 per barrel to US$125.84 per barrel.

He observed that kerosene/Jet A-1 rose from US$144.00 per barrel to US$153.22 per barrel.

Banda noted that the average price of diesel marginally reduced from US$160.88 per barrel to US$154.71 per barrel.

He advanced that the Zambian Kwacha weakened against the United States dollar and depreciated by more than 3 per cent.

Banda said that the combined changes in international oil prices and the exchange rate were the main drivers considered when setting fuel pump prices.

He affirmed that the ERB approved revised national pump prices of K33.06 per litre for petrol and K34.45 per litre for diesel.

Banda emphasised that kerosene would sell at K32.08 per litre and Jet A-1 at K34.51 per litre.

He noted that the revised prices would remain in force until the next price review.

Banda said the detailed wholesale and pump price build-ups for November 2026 were available on the ERB website.
