Hezbollah Adopts Ukraine-Style FPV Drone Tactics, Targets Israeli Ground Forces with Precision

Hezbollah is reportedly deploying first-person view (FPV) attack drones tactics widely seen in the Ukraine war to strike Israeli ground forces in southern Lebanon with increasing precision.

Images released by the group show small explosive-laden drones targeting Israeli tanks and armored vehicles positioned along the southern front. The approach reflects a shift toward low-cost, high-impact aerial tactics designed to directly engage frontline units.

A notable feature of some drones used is fiber-optic cable guidance, allowing operators to maintain control without relying on traditional radio signals. This method can reduce vulnerability to electronic warfare systems, which are commonly used to jam or disrupt drone operations.

The tactic mirrors recent battlefield developments observed in Ukraine, where similar systems have been used to bypass advanced countermeasures. Israeli forces have acknowledged multiple injuries linked to drone strikes during clashes in southern Lebanon, though full details remain limited.

Military analysts suggest that the combination of mass-deployed FPV drones and traditional anti-tank weapons could significantly complicate Israeli ground operations, increasing pressure on armored units and frontline maneuver strategies.
