FULL ARTICLE: HH can never give someone 12 missed calls, worse still at 02:00 – Hamasaka

STATE House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka has distanced President Hakainde Hichilema from a viral audio recording purported to feature Robert Chabinga and Doreen Mwamba, stating that the President would never call someone 12 times.
On Sunday, a recording went viral featuring a voice believed to be that of PF faction acting president Robert Chabinga in conversation with another voice believed to be that of Community Development Minister Doreen Mwamba.
In the audio, Chabinga was explaining how he was sent on a “special assignment” to influence a South African judge to rule in favour of the Zambian government concerning Edgar Lungu’s burial rights.
And on Tuesday, PF acting president Given Lubinda challenged President Hichilema to tell the country whether he was involved in the audio saga.
“I would like to appeal to President Hakainde, your man Chabinga has told the whole world in no uncertain terms that the boss of Minister Doreen Mwamba called him 12 times and that when finally the boss spoke to Chabinga, he told him ‘I will tell Friday to call you’ and then Friday called and they spoke and he said ‘I follow the boss’s instructions’. And the instructions were for him to go to South Africa to go and bribe the South African judge, to go and organize stage-managed protests. Can you [President Hichilema] please tell us who is Doreen Mwamba’s other boss besides yourself? Can you ask Doreen Mwamba to explain to us sir that she has another boss besides you? Tell us sir that you are not the one who called Chabinga. Tell us sir what you expect of the Zambian people if indeed you are the one who is, through Chabinga, interfering or attempting to interfere with the independence of South Africa. What should we do?” asked Lubinda.
Commenting on this in an interview, Wednesday, Hamasaka said President Hichilema was not involved in any way with the claims being made in the audio.
“The people should not be judgmental, they should not use assumptions, that’s why I am saying let’s be truthful and remove the Head of State from this whole saga. I would rather people direct their issues on the people who are alleged in that thing, not the President. The President is never involved at any stage, at any level in that whole claim, in that conversation. Firstly, who have you ever called 12 missed calls? Have you ever called anybody more than 12 times? Even the time being alleged, do you really think the Head of State can be calling somebody at that time 12 missed calls? I can’t vouch for the audio. I can’t vouch the authenticity but I can vouch that whatever is being discussed there has nothing to do with the President. I can’t vouch the authenticity of the voices there, but what I can vouch is the fact that whatever is being claimed there is not true,” he said.
“The President can never call somebody more than 12 times, no way. So, you would probably be better off getting more clarification from whoever is being alleged in that conversation, the President has nothing to do with that. He (President Hichilema) has nothing to do with the so-called 12 missed calls, he can never ever give someone 12 missed calls, even worse at 02:00, 03:00 hours. I know the President, maybe the maximum he can give you is just one or two calls then thereafter he will tell you please call me back. I have never heard of anybody who has gotten five missed calls from the President, never”.
Hamasaka said President Hichilema could never be part of the schemes alleged in the said audio.
“Those who are aggrieved are free to take their own action as well, those who are aggrieved with the alleged audio which, as I have said, I can’t vouch for authenticity. And he can never make those schemes alleged in that audio. The President can never be part of those schemes which are being alleged in there. That audio, did you listen to it? Those people alleged to be talking there, did anyone mention the President by name? They were just saying ‘the boss, the boss,’ not so? So, who is that boss? Why are you assuming that ‘the boss’ means the President?” wondered Hamasaka.
“Who is Friday? Why are we having assumptions for heaven’s sake, why are we having those assumptions? How many Fridays are in this country? Is there only one person by the name of Friday in this country? Why are we making all those assumptions? That’s why I am saying people should [direct] most of those things to the people alleged to be in that audio, not dragging the name of the President, the Head of State”.

So who is fooling who?
There may be reasons for the 12 missed calls . My theory is that the Kakunkubiti, the Thug , obviously developed cold feet on this huge cross border Misadventure…He is used to the local Katondo Street Imingalato, the Registrar of Societies misdeeds , the National Assembly leader of Opposition misbehaviors, this Cross border ‘ nuisance ‘ wasn’t in his league! He might have been hiding under his bed allowing the phone to ring!
Why he shared this with the elder sister of GBM , according to the Leaked Audio ,Minister of Community Development, there’s a plausible Theory for this…You don’t need to be a clairvoyant to guess the reasons!
Well, we all don’t know the whole truth until the audio is analysed by a specialist or specialists. Experts in this field have been warning that it has become very difficult to tell a fake from the real thing. The video sounds authentic but I am no expert. My view is just an opinion.
I think Chabinga exaggerated or he simply can not count. Maybe the real number of missed calls was just 11, not 12.
