Prayer for a peaceful and fair election.
Mighty Father, Author of Life and Liberty.
The foundation of Your Throne is justice and righteousness, therefore let justice prevail during the election exercise we are in. Let the will of the people prevail as they turn out in numbers to cast their votes.
I pray that you don’t allow elections to divide us but rather to bring us together as Your people gather to elect leaders who will serve citizens’ interests. Help Your people not be brainwashed by those making voting decisions based on lies, tribe, social status, bribery or revenge.
We seek your divine power to nullify the plans of those that are advocating for cheating and other unfair practices, including violence and bloodshed against your people during this election campaign, election day and beyond. Let there be peace in our territory Zambia, dear God of the Heavens and the earth, I beseech thee.
Give us your wisdom to make our decisions with clarity and honesty. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.
