We have a serious problem in Zambia of how to communicate with public offices in a polite but impactful way. Many public officers themselves do not know that you cannot work in a public office without saving some time to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds who make an appointment to see you. And since it’s a public office, the public have to be made to feel important, and not you, the occupier of the public office.

On a serious note, if the story is true, it highlights the difference between how UPND and PF operate. With PF, it is a lot of bluster with absolutely no strategy. They believe in making a lot of noise and posturing, pretending to be tough guys (I won’t be intimidated!) As a result, a good number have been immobilized one way or another.
