I have arrived in the UPND – Frank Bwalya

UPND Director General for Media under the Presidential Support Programme (PSP) Frank Bwalya says he has arrived in the ruling party and there’s no turning back.

Speaking at a press briefing yesterday, Bwalya stated that he feels he has made the right choice to work with President Hakainde Hichilema whom the former priest described  as hardworking.

This came to light after Socialist Party leader Fred M’membe accused Bwalya of changing camp every time he makes new friends.

In response to his former boss, the former father noted that Dr M’membe was a hypocrite who wanted him to be a puppet.

“I can’t go back there, I have arrived, I’m a member of the UPND, I’m working with a very hard working president, who is doing a lot, Mopani fixed, KCM handed back to Vedenta.
Dr Hakainde Hichilema is not perfect, he’s a human being like the rest of us, people are free to criticise him but when Dr M’membe criticises him in the manner that he has always done, personally and with full of malice, we are going to be responding to him,” said Bwalya.

He further warned of incoming resignations of senior members from the Socialist Party claiming that the party has no future.

Bwalya added that Dr M’membe has never paid school fees for him and urged the public to regard information in the media with the contempt it deserves.

“It’s a lie. Dr M’membe has never looked after me because I allegedly became destitute when I took leave of absence from the priesthood. It is a lie,” lamented Bwalya.

  1. While it is good to have you into UPND, they must keep their eyes on you Ex -Father. It is just routine, not because you are bad as a person, but you may just be an emissary.
Catholics have certain operations and they can send any of their own to silence someone. We do hope that this is not your mission but that you genuinely have identified a hard working team to work with for the good of the people.
One Zambia, one nation, one people

  2. It’s true ka Bwalya is a flip flop. Kanali kuvutika. He used to frequent my cousin’s office for tuma 10 kwacha for ground nuts after walking from Kalulushi. I remember those days I was working in Kitwe. So when I visit mudala he would prophesy ati this guy will jump through tuma parties until azankala bwana kakazikana ati I never suffered. They are all hypocrites and for sure HH must be very careful with them. Very dangerous characters. If things go south kazataba again and insult him from the gallery. Don’t accept them throw them away. Just remember how this same guy used to insult HH ati kachema akaleta ing’ombe mu town. Don’t even give these tuma political prostitutes any high positions. Antonio, GBM, Canicius Banda, Winter, the list is endless. No stability. Sebana wikute proper. But HH has so far been very smart with them but what eats my egg is how did this one slip through? Any ideas out there???

  3. Well we must come to terms with the fact that politicians can actually change their thoughts at various times in their lives.

Just like most people can change from one company to another using their same trade. Let’s not get fixed on possessing individuals. Let them be allowed to grow and search for other ideologies they feel match their growth levels

Like it or not people change and it’s normal.
We the voters must begin to conform to this type of thing. Besides we are not in one party state any more. It’s multi party time so chill and renew your mind guys. You don’t own any one except your self.

What is good to see is that politicians can now begin to grow when they test a variety leadership skills of political opponents till they feel mature to stick with an ideology that best suits their aspirations.

This name calling is unnecessary. If we go through some the employment history of most people you will find they have worked for more than one company. Aspirations change. We the voters must also evolve and not be glued to the wrong attitude of my party and me mentality. Support progressive ideas regardless where the emerge from.

If you cannot think in this manner, you will soon become irrelevant and obsolete. Politics have changed over time. The old style can not survive.

With integrity being the foundation in today’s political arena , it means those who are used to benefit on corruption will soon be phased out.

It is time to use brain power now. Media has seriously changed the political playing field and it will be very dangerous for those who don’t want to change with the times. We are in the information age where news and activities happen with great speed in order to satisfy a well informed electrolate.

This is something worth discussing with an open mind. Being rigid will break some people. This is a bit different from seeing footballers who have faithfully played for the same team for years. The faithful, come rain or drought. They can not be moved. Hence they have become the great mountain to leap over till the body just gives up on the sport.

That’s why this time around politicians should not gain traction by insulting perceived enemies. These opposing camps may actually be your next workmates. That is if you want to stay longer in this very difficult profession involving leading and much talking.

It is time to renew the mind.

  4. Mr. Frank Bwalya is a man without principles. He glories in his shame and his god is his stomach.

We would do well not ot listen to the likes of him. He is no different from Mr. Chilufya Tayali. Ba mushanina bwali.

  5. Father Bwalya, Dora Siliya, Sylvia Masebo, GBM should come together and form the Zambia Jumpers’ Party. They are always jumping from one party to another.
