I NEVER WISHED CHITAMBALA SUCCESS, ZAMBIAN WATCH IS LYING SAYS CHITANGALA.
Former Lusaka Mayor Chilando Chitangala has hit back at Zambian Watch, accusing the publication of fabricating a statement in which she wished newly elected Lusaka Mayor Mwewa Chitambala success in his new role.
Ms. Chitangala says she never congratulated Mr. Chitambala and did not issue any statement wishing him success following his election as Lusaka Mayor.
Reacting to a post circulating on social media, the former mayor said the statement attributed to her was false and did not represent her position.
“I did not make any remarks about Mwewa Chitambala, neither did I wish him success in his new journey,” Ms. Chitangala is qouted saying.
She accused Zambian Watch of misleading the public by attributing remarks to her that she never made.
Ms. Chitangala has since urged members of the public to disregard the circulating post, insisting that she was never consulted and did not authorize any statement congratulating the newly elected mayor.
The former mayor’s response comes amid growing public criticism as to what she was doing in office for five years without removing street vendors.

How is that news?
She could have just kept quiet because it’s only herself who knows what she was doing whilst in power. No Lusaka resident can pin point any successful project.
