I RETAIN MY SEAT AS LUSAKA 1, HUMBLED BY YOUR TRUST
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all members of the UPND party for once again entrusting me with the mandate to serve as Lusaka Provincial Chairman of UPND. I am deeply humbled by the confidence you have shown in my leadership.
The just-ended intra-party elections today , which involved participation from the grassroots to the highest levels, truly reflect the strength of our democratic processes. I sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support, unity and commitment throughout this process. It is encouraging to note that these elections were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, setting a strong example of the democracy we continue to uphold as a party.
I wish to urge all provinces that are yet to conduct their elections to emulate this spirit by ensuring that their processes remain peaceful, fair and transparent. This is the foundation upon which our party stands.
As we move forward, our collective responsibility remains clear to continue mobilizing and strengthening the party in support of President Hakainde Hichilema, as we look ahead with confidence to his re-election as President of Zambia in August 2026.
To those who did not emerge victorious in the Lusaka Provincial elections, I extend a hand of unity and respect. In politics and leadership, there is no room for enmity. We are all members of one party with a shared vision and there is ample space for all of us to work together in advancing our common goals.
Let us remain united, focused and committed to building a stronger party and a better Zambia.
