If PF was still in power, more than 10 people would have been killed by now — Hichilema

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says if the Patriotic Front—PF was still in power by now, during the campaign period, more than 10 people would have been killed.

Speaking in Luwingu, President Hichilema said under the PF, people were beaten.

He told the people of Luwingu not to vote for the Tonse Alliance, alleging that it was the PF under a different name

“These Tonse boys are the ones who were in the PF. One was the minister here in Northern Province, the other one was minister in Eastern Province and the other one was Home Affairs. They are the ones who used to beat people,” he said.

President Hichilema alleged that the PF was “dead and buried” in 2021 and urged people to leave the party in the past until Jesus comes.
“When someone is dead and buried, do they come back to life?” he asked

President Hichilema also questioned Tonse Alliance’s promise to increase the Constituency Development Fund—CDF, asking why the PF failed to increase it when it was in power.

“They are saying that when they come into power they will increase CDF. Why did they fail to increase it when they were in power?” he asked.

Meanwhile, in Lupososhi, President Hichilema implored newly recruited volunteer nurses and teachers to vote for the United Party for National Development—UPND in the August 13 general elections.

He said some of the newly recruited nurses and teachers voted for the PF in the last elections.

President Hichilema urged them to vote for the UPND so that government can continue employing more teachers and nurses.

He also accused the previous government of allegedly failing to take children to school, saying this was among the reasons his administration introduced free education.

President Hichilema further promised to work on roads, among them the Nsombo and Luwingu roads.

  1. Awe Bakateeka, is that the message you are taking to the people and you expect to be voted into power ? You seem to be so scared of Mundubile and Makebi ? People want to hear what developmental plans you have which will change the lives of people for better. Is it because you have run out of lies and the only option you have is personal attacks now? You are behaving like you are the opposition and Mundubile and Makebi are in government . Have you given up hope looking at the sufferings you subjected Zambians to after having promised them heaven on earth in 2021 ? I was so shocked to hear your interview Ba Kateeka with BBC where you acknowledged that you got things wrong when you got into government and therefore you could not fulfill most of the promises such reduce the price of mealie meal, reduce the price of fertilizer, reduce the price of fuel , end loadshedding etc. What shocked me is that the message you delivered to BBC is the message you should have delivered to the people of Zambia who gave you that job of being President. BBC did not vote for you and yet you chose to go there and acknowledge that you got things wrong . I have been writing here that you needed to apologise to the Zambian people for promising them heaven and instead delivered hell. Arrogant as you are , you can’t face Zambians to acknowledge your shortcomings and that has costed you your presidency. Zambians can’t trust you anymore. How on earth with astronomical cost of living in Zambia would the incumbent President fighting to defend his seat would stand before Zambians and promise them Airports in all provinces ? That’s a joke and a very serious disconnection from reality on the ground. Zambians are suffering unfortunately we have a President who is disconnected from reality and suffers from high level of misplaced people’s priorities. I guess if you had been a Ward Chairman, Councillor , MP maybe you would be connected to the people and really understand the sufferings of the Zambian people. You are surrounded by people who are very scared to tell you the truth because of your management style of threats and the “I know it all syndrome “ Next week you will assume a new title of Former President Hakainde Hichilema because of these things mentioned above. I wish you well in your future endeavours , please don’t forget to thank Zambians for giving you the greatest opportunity to occupy the highest office in the great land of Zambia.
