My fellow Zambians, let us be honest.
Government has announced that 18th October will no longer be a public holiday. It has been merged with 29th December to become National Day of Prayer and Christian Heritage.
And immediately, Reverend Godfridah Sumaili has shouted, “It is satanic betrayal! Government has betrayed Christians!”
Former PF cadres are also shouting, ” Hakainde Hichilema has surrendered Zambia to Lucifer!”
Is this true? No! It is lies and politics.
Let me ask you a simple question.
When Edgar Lungu declared 18th October in 2015, did corruption stop? Did tribalism stop? Did cadres stop beating people in markets?
While we were praying on 18th October, $1 Million fire tenders were being bought. Mukula was being smuggled. Gold scandal was happening. Debt was rising.
What did that prayer achieve if our hearts were still full of stealing?
Bally did not remove prayer. He has MERGED two Christian days into one powerful day. 18th October was for Prayer and Repentance. 29th December is for declaration of Zambia as a Christian Nation by Chiluba in 1991. Both are Christian.
Government and Church Mother Bodies sat together and agreed. CCZ Vice President Bishop Siachitema read the statement. This was not UPND alone. The Church agreed!
Secretary to Cabinet Patrick Kangwa said, Statutory Instrument 78 of 2015 is revoked and SI 73 of 2026 is issued. Now 29th December will be the holiday.
Why are we crying? True Christianity is not about how many holidays we have. True Christianity is about stopping corruption, stopping cadreism, stopping violence.
UPND Media Director Mark Simuuwe said it correctly today — where a national observance is established by law, the date can be amended by law. It is not betrayal. It is institutionalising faith so that the Church leads it, not a political party.
Zambia is still a Christian Nation. The preamble in the Constitution has not been removed. The duty to pray has not been abolished.
If anything, if Zambia was ever surrendered to Lucifer, it was when we used the name of Jesus to cover theft, and called it Christianity.
Those who are shouting today are the same people who used the church for politics. Let them not lie to you.
Bally has not betrayed God. He has saved resources, avoided duplication, and given the Church the lead.
Continue praying, Zambia. Whether 18th October or 29th December, God hears us every day.

Also,the real question today,is ,
If going by the,happening events,following,the death,of LUNGU, himself,,how,genuinely was he,? in his declaration,,especially, the reconciliation part,,,Surely,how ,LUNGU, would go ,before, his death,give & leave, strict,instructions to Makebi Zulu,,that he didnt want,,a certain person, to attend his funeral,let alone to be nearer his body,?
So in one breath,you declare,,repentance & reconciliation
And,in another breath,you dont live by what you declared & preached?
That is the hallmark of HIPOCRICY,

So,those,opposing this change of date,,are not genuine,people,or christians per say,
