Fox’s Jesse Watters hits the panic button on air, warning that if Texas stays blue, a Republican will never sniff the White House again
One of Fox News’s biggest primetime stars just told his audience the Republican Party might be finished.
On Thursday night, Jesse Watters delivered a lengthy monologue calling for a Republican autopsy after the midterms. He said Democrats are on pace for the biggest midterm landslide since Watergate, and then gave his warning: they seized Texas, and if Texas stays blue, a Republican will never sniff the White House ever again.
That’s a Fox host, on Trump’s favorite network, saying the quiet part out loud about the entire map.
Watters spent much of the segment looking back at what his side squandered. He said Republicans had a two-year window to dismantle the Democratic Party, shut down their fundraising and put Tish James and Comey behind bars. He said they blew it, and asked whether anyone thinks the left will go easy on the MAGA movement now.
He also admitted the coalition Trump built is broken. In a post promoting the segment, Watters wrote that the Trump coalition shattered and the GOP MAY NEVER WIN AGAIN.
He isn’t alone. Tim Pool warned on Fox that plenty of young men want to burn the GOP down. Steve Bannon called Trump’s Iran war a catastrophic defeat and asked who’s accountable for that.
This is where Republicans are after Tuesday. Their own TV hosts are declaring doom, blaming each other and demanding autopsies.
Jesse Watters says Texas could end Republican hopes at the White House forever. Challenge accepted.
