I’m baffled HH went for whistleblowers instead of wrongdoers – Musa

By Mubanga Mubanga

Former Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) board chairman Musa Mwenya says he is surprised that President Hakainde Hichilema decided to punish the whistleblower instead of going for the wrongdoers.

Speaking during the Oxygen Democracy Programmme, on Prime TV, on Monday, Mwenya when asked by the program presenter Alexander Musokotwane, if he was disappointed by the decision taken by the president to fire the ACC board, responded that he was “baffled” because he expected the president to take action against those who committed errors, as opposed to those he had appointed in the board.

  1. I had lot of respect for Musa until I read what is said to have come from his mouth. A man of his standing in society can not go on media and show his bitterness in public or private media as he did.
The thing is him and his ‘minions’ in the board did little to curb corruption and the fact that there was a 3.9 million USD linked to his name says a lot about why can not be left in the corridors of institutions seeking a just society, a society free of corruption.
Whoever has worked with HH knows that this is a straight forward person who wants people of his mindset to work with him. They end up disappointing him. Look at the opportunity he gave to youthful people like Tukuta and his first Private secretary. They messed up on their own, and to protect his integrity, he gave them a second chance but moved them somewhere with the hope of them learning their lessons. Those that did have kept their new jobs. Those that were habitual wrong doers have been shown the door and they have no morals at all if they can turn around today and say HH is a bad man. He doesn’t just like bad people around him and he has his intelligence to gather facts for him, not public opinion.
So, ba Musa, you could choose to act with the maturity that we see in your dressing or join the camp of bitter losers. A wise person learns from his mistakes and people that show remorse easily regain the confidence people had in them. You are still young with a great future if you pick yourself up by recognizing that you erred and remove yourself from the public eye to reflect on how you can regain the respect you commanded, as you were seen in the public eyes. You have a lot more to lose if you will be used by PF to try and tarnish the name of the man that gave you an opportunity to build a great CV. They say silence is Golden. They also say ‘ the life of a person is in his/her ears’. That means he who takes good advice lives longer.

  2. Mr. Musa Mwenye with all the hot air that you blow and the status of State Counsel that you have, you clearly still want to act like a child demonstrating temper tantrums. Get over it. You accepted a job that had no ability for you to do anthing. Given the chance to make a change for the good of the nation. You lounged and waited for you sitting allowance pretending you were working. Now when you have been called out, for serving no purpose you want to act all smart.
How many State Cousels do we have in Zambia? How many persons have served in the Position that you have served? So there is nothing special about you. If anything as I said “all hot air, no purpose” very soon you will ve sounding like “Emmanuel Mwamba’. Empty noisey vessel. Have some self respect and do some introspection. Tondolo busuma….

  3. It’s normal to be awistle blower in developed notions and that’s why their democracy have always been ticking.Mu Zambia uwalanda ifishinka and to be awistle blower ninshi watula ingombe ilinso olo watuka imfumu mu state house .The citizens need to know what’s happening and that’s what democracy is all about.Noti baleiba and you keep quiet. We are disappointed as nation too because the president seems to be on the side of criminals. No wander he just transfers them to other ministries so that they continue stealing more.If it was in western democracies those found to be corrupt were going to resign on their own .This upnd government is afailure .No corruption is being fought apart from being vengeance. Its really a shame as the government has gone to the dogs
