Iran Rejects JD Vance’s Reported Proposal to Resume Peace Negotiations With the United States, Reiterates Seven Demands.

In a dramatic development in the escalating conflict between Iran and the United States, Tehran has reportedly rejected a request from US Vice President JD Vance to reopen negotiations with Washington.

The message was reportedly delivered to Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in an attempt to revive stalled peace negotiations. However, Iran has maintained its position, insisting that Washington must meet seven conditions before diplomatic talks can move forward.

Iran’s reported seven demands are:

1. End the naval blockade: The United States must abandon its naval blockade of Iran.

2. Restore oil exports: Washington must allow Iran to freely sell and transport its oil without restrictions.

3. Unfreeze Iranian assets: The United States must fully release Iran’s frozen financial assets.

4. Lift unilateral sanctions: Sanctions imposed after June must be removed, particularly those targeting shipping, petrochemicals, aviation, railways and the banking sector.

5. End military hostilities: All military hostilities must cease, with full respect for Iran’s sovereignty.

6. Military guarantees: The US military must receive direct orders prohibiting further attacks against Iran.

7. Freeze all fronts: Military confrontations must be suspended across all active fronts.

The reported demands highlight the significant gap between Washington and Tehran, raising further questions about whether diplomatic efforts can succeed in ending the conflict.
