Iran warns of strikes beyond Middle East, targets energy infrastructure

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a strong warning, saying its response to the United States could extend beyond the Middle East if tensions escalate further.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the IRGC said its previous restraint has ended and that “all considerations have been lifted.”

The group warned it could target US and partner energy infrastructure, aiming to disrupt access to oil and gas resources for years if provoked.

It added that regional US allies had previously been spared due to “good neighbourly relations,” but that this restraint would no longer apply if what it described as red lines are crossed.

The warning marks a significant escalation in rhetoric, raising fears of broader attacks on global energy infrastructure if the conflict widens.
