Israel Targets Iranian S-300 Air Defense System in Precision Strike

Israel has reportedly struck one of Iran’s most advanced long-range air defense systems, marking another escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.

According to defense reports, the Israel Defense Forces released footage showing a precision airstrike targeting an Iranian S-300PMU air defense system, a Russian-supplied platform designed to intercept aircraft and cruise missiles at long ranges.

The strike appears to have hit a fixed air defense position, with analysts identifying the system as part of Iran’s strategic shield protecting high-value sites, including areas around the capital.

The S-300 system, originally delivered by Russia in the mid-2010s, is considered one of the most capable air defense assets in Iran’s inventory, capable of engaging targets at significant distances and altitudes.

This development comes amid a broader Israeli campaign aimed at degrading Iran’s layered air defense network, with multiple systems reportedly targeted in recent operations.

While the exact location and extent of damage were not officially disclosed, the strike highlights Israel’s continued focus on suppressing Iranian air defenses to maintain aerial operational freedom.
