JUDGEMENT IN PF CASE COMING UP ON 25TH FEBRUARY 2026
Justice Conceptor Chinyanwa Zulu is expected to deliver Judgement in the matter regarding the Patriotic Front.
According to a Notice of Judgement, the matter will be delivered on 25th February 2026.
In May 2025, Member of the Central Committee and Mporokoso MP, Brian Mundubile and other Patriotic Front (PF) members entered into a consent agreement with Matero MP and disputed PF President and Matero MP, Miles Sampa to resolve the leadership crisis within the party.
According to a petition filed in August 2025, the parties agreed to the following:
Nullification: The October 24, 2023, meeting that elected Miles Sampa as PF president was to be declared null and void.
Leadership Restoration: All appointments and actions from that meeting were to be voided, and the Registrar of Societies was to reinstate the office bearers as they were before that date.
Expelled Mafinga MP, who government has placed as Acting President of PF and recognised him as Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, and supposed Secretary General Morgan Ngona were joined to the case as interested parties.

A big Thank you to a Zambian Citizen, Mr Bwanga John Isaaih for the complaint made to the Judicial Complaints Commission against Her Honor Judge Conceptor Chinyama who has suspended ruling over the PF case for over 90 days.. allowing the case to be gathering dust in some drawers.
We are now seeing some movement that Judgement will be made on 25th February, 2026.
My Prayer to the Almighty God is that there won’t be issues such as Sickness of the Honorable Judge, family Bereavement, a conference for judges in Livingstone, an Earthquake or Flooding of the Courts which will prevent the Judgement from being made.
My other prayer is for the Judgement to be Clear and understandable..Let the Yes be Yes and the No be No…Clear black and white judgement. Not a Grey Judgement.
Ofcourse if the case goes against Robert Chabinga, he will lodge in an Appeal..and the courts will grant this. If this will be the case, it might be cause listed for 2027!

Some advice to Hon Given Lubinda and Team. Immediately the Judgement is made , go straight to the Registrar of Societies to remove Chabinga from list of office Bearers, and straight to the High Court to obtain an Injunction to stop any other changes until case disposed off in the supreme court. Speed is of the essence.

Overconfidence, Sampa’s going back to Hon Lubinda’s faction has nothing to do with Chabinga’s legal pf. It’s a lot to unpack
The Law provides for 180 days or 6 months within which to deliver JUDGMENT. So, the Complaint at the JCC was premature. Most Judges have a backlog of Judgments to be delivered due to overwhelming number of cases. There are “non political” Judgments pending with over one year sincere trial waiting to be delivered. One has just to be patient.
