KALLAS WARNS WESTERN DIVISION PLAYS INTO PUTIN’S HANDS
Kaja Kallas has warned that divisions between the United States and Europe make supporting Ukraine more difficult—and give Putin reason to believe he can simply wait for its partners to lose their resolve.
Her message is straightforward: the United States, Europe and Canada have overcome major challenges when they stood together. Disagreement now gives Moscow more room to prolong its war and test that unity.
Ukraine needs sustained military support, pressure on Russia and security commitments it can trust. Every fracture makes those tasks harder, while Ukrainians continue to bear the consequences.
We thank Kallas for her steadfast support since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. She has consistently defended Ukraine’s sovereignty and the principle that a country’s future belongs to its people, not an invading army.
That is what friendship with Ukraine and commitment to democracy demand: the resolve to keep standing beside people fighting for their freedom, even when doing so becomes politically difficult.
