Kenya to build a 1,000 megawatts Nuclear Power Plant

Kenya 🇰🇪 plans to build its first nuclear power plant in Siaya, starting in 2027 at a cost of KSh 500 billion ($3.8 billion).

The plant will first produce 1,000 MW of electricity, with plans to expand to 20,000 MW by 2040.

The project is expected to raise Kenya’s energy capacity and support industrial growth under Vision 2030, helping the country meet its future power needs.
