MAJORITY ZAMBIANS FEEL EXCLUDED BY UPND – SAKI
United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) chairperson Sakwiba Sikota says the question on whether there is tribalism in the country or not can best be answered by looking various government institutions and who is heading them.
Last week, State House Chief Communication specialist Clayson Hamasaka said there was no tribalism in Zambia.
He said this in relation to an article published by Daily Revelation where a group calling itself the national consultative conference (NCC) is aiming to call for a national indaba to discuss the enforcement of zero tolerance against tribalism, provincialism, nepotism, sexism, racism and all chauvinist practices that have tended to divide the people and spread unnecessary discords in the country.
Sikota was asked to give his views on what Hamasaka said, and in response, insisted that one needed to look at who was heading the key state institutions, key ministries and key embassies to get the answer on whether there was tribalism in the country or not.
“What you have to look at is, you have to look at …even if you look at various places like the Cabinet and that gives you…

UPL LEADER FAILED TO ORGANIZE HIS PARTY PLEASE SAKWIBA SIKOTA DON’T INVOLVE ME INTO YOUR BITTERNESS, HATRAGES AND JEALOUS.
Which majority of Zambians ??????
Yowa job as opposition is to generate alternative ideas to sort out the challenges that people are facing. Democracy is competition of ideas.
The only idea you have offered is to be everlasting victims who play the sympathy card day in day out. This is not what is expected of you. You are just confirming how irrelevant you are to Zambia’s current situation. Please continue indirectly campaigning for HH and UPND.
Our opposition brings no value to the table, there’s no single day that one can take home some thought provoking ideas. Their only chorus is HH day in and out. What a shame.
The way things are progressing, the opposition political parties, along with various so-called advocacy groups for good governance, are unable to provide effective checks and balances. This is largely due to their fixation on trivial and inconsequential matters driven by jealousy, tribalism, and animosity.
The current administration led by His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema has established an inclusive government by ensuring fairness in appointments to all significant government positions. Most of these appointments are made based on merit, loyalty, and integrity.
Regarding Sakwiba Sikota, is filled with resentment and animosity towards President Hakainde Hichilema. If Sakwiba Sikota had taken power after the late Anderson Kambila Mazoka’s passing, the UPND might have disbanded and ceased to exist long ago. What have Sakwiba Sikota and Dr. Mbita Chitala contributed to this nation other than inciting confusion and promoting unnecessary discussions? Leadership is not about guesswork; it is about showing resilience and leading with integrity, honesty, sacrifice, hard work, and selflessness. President Hakainde Hichilema is a genuine patriot who entered politics not out of greed or a desire for wealth, but to serve his country with humility and a vision for Zambia’s development. It is crucial to acknowledge contributions where they are warranted and to support progressive development agendas rather than opposing the positive changes occurring under President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership. In summary, it is Sakwiba Sikota who is out of touch with the developmental successes of the UPND government, and he remains oblivious due to his spiritual blindness.
Great piece my man…
The likes of Saki should take heed…
Well said Knowledge. Sakwiba has outlived his usefulness.
I wonder if he has ever been use-full, but use-less as evidenced by his track record. Case in point, he couldn’t even lead UKA, a grouping of fellow questionables.
Sad to see a once vibrant lawyer and politicians and advocate for food governance slide into the jigsaw puzzle of the PF Legacy of blind criticism.
You still have a chance to jump out of your current slumber Saki. Don’t let yourself find comfort among those that don’t mean well for this country.
Saki is very dull , the reason is that HH is president hence the bitterness. Saki was in UPND, Lubinda was in UPND, Bob Sichinga was in UPND, Canicious Banda was in UPND the list goes on or endless, to see HH ruling Zambia these unfortunate men are so envious.
They preach tribalism and this can be confirmed
Had PF party won in 2021 Zambia by now would be torn in pieces
Thanks be God for not allowing the dividers to rape the United of tribes of Zambia.
The tribal story doesn’t make sense in Zambia.UPND is very balanced political party for Zambians with progressive minds. The notion of feelings of being left out is neither here nor there. The UPND has just been in power for four years now and it is not possible that people must feel to be left out. That narrative or thinking of being left out has no matter in it.Left out where? The government’s responsibility is to care about people’s needs regardless of political affiliation and that’s what the UPND is doing right now.We are a happy country.
Who appointed Saki as spokesperson of those people he is referring to?
