MANDEVU DESERVES A CHOICE, NOT A CORONATION!

Reports that all three candidates have withdrawn in Mandevu, leaving one candidate ahead of 5th November, are deeply concerning.
Mandevu is not a spectator in its own democracy.
The people of Mandevu have a constitutional right to competing candidates, alternative ideas, and a free vote. Democracy is not just a name on a ballot. It is a meaningful opportunity to choose.
Every candidate has a right to withdraw. But when all competitors withdraw within days of each other, the nation must pause and ask: Are we strengthening democracy, or emptying it?
If threats caused this, investigate it. If other reasons, explain honestly.
ECZ must give clarity on the law and on whether 5th November proceeds.
Power must be earned through public confidence, not secured through absence of competition.
Zambia fought for multiparty democracy so no party would monopolise choice. Let us not forget.
