MONZE RECEIVES 2 BILLION MEANT FOR THE SUCCESS OF CASH FOR WORK PROGRAM
Monze Central Area Member of Parliament Jack Mwiimbu has confirmed that the District has received about two Billion kwacha meant for the success of Cash for work program.
Speaking today at Simukale School Hon Mwiimbu says the local Authority is currently conducting orientation meeting on the implementation of the program.
He urged people involved in registering beneficiary to be so transparent so that the program benefits deserving people, esspecially considering that the program aims at alleviating the suffering of citizen following the drought experienced in the 2023/2024 farming
Hon Mwimbu adds that they is need to make sure those on Social Cash transfer or Emergency Cash transfer are not included to allow other vulnerable members to benefit.
Hon Mwiimbu says Cash for work scheme will continue until the current looming hunger situation ends.

What work will be done? What measure will be used to show who is a vunerable person. Again generalisation in vague statement results in money being abused.
Things don’t normally work like that honourable. You can’t advise and instruct people to take measures when the cash is already there.Mark my words…Flaws will be there and the program may end up a failure because logistics were not put in place before releasing such a colossal sum of money. Wrong people will benefit from there as opposed to the vulnerable. You will see most likely that even those outside Monze will be imported from elsewhere to feast there.Everything will now be done in a haste because cash is already there…
