Mudolo Unleashes Fierce Rebuke on Mwamba Over PF Leadership Claims

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) presidential hopeful Willah Mudolo has launched a blistering attack on Emmanuel Mwamba, accusing him of misleading the nation by insisting that Makebi Zulu is the party’s president.

The confrontation follows Mwamba’s assertions that Makebi Zulu holds the PF presidency—claims Mudolo has dismissed as not only false, but dangerously corrosive to the party’s integrity.

Mudolo did not hold back, branding Mwamba’s continued statements as reckless and irresponsible, warning that they are sowing confusion on an issue that demands clarity, honesty, and strict discipline.

At the heart of his argument, Mudolo pointed to the absence of a legitimate convention. He stressed that the Patriotic Front has not yet held a constitutionally recognized convention, outright rejecting the March 20 gathering as illegal, illegitimate, and devoid of any binding authority.

According to him, what is being portrayed as a convention is nothing more than a façade—one that must not be sold to Zambians or the international community as a lawful process.

“Honourable Makebi Zulu is not the President of the Patriotic Front and has never been,” Mudolo declared.

He went further, accusing Makebi of forfeiting any credible claim to leadership by aligning himself with what he described as an unlawful “no-name” conference.

Mudolo also turned his fire on those backing the move, describing them as a coordinated clique determined to force their way into power through irregular and unconstitutional means. He labeled them remnants of a failed administration who have shown no remorse—branding them “constitutional delinquents.”

In a sharp escalation, Mudolo alleged that Mwamba is now using his platform to advance what he termed a cartel agenda, rather than responsibly guiding the public.

“This is not guidance—it is active participation in misleading the nation,” he charged.

He has since called on Zambians and PF members to reject the group in its entirety, warning against any attempt to manipulate or erode the party’s foundation.

Mudolo remained defiant, insisting that the Patriotic Front will not be hijacked by individuals pushing illegitimate processes.
