Mwaliteta Suspends Matomola Likwanya for threatening the Community Development, Permanent Secretary
United Party for National Development ( UPND) Lusaka Provincial Chairperson, Obvious Mwaliteta has suspended Lusaka District IPS for gross misconduct.
Likwanya stormed the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services and expressed anger that the contracts were not being given UPND cadres.
He pledged to have the Permanent Secretary, Ms Angela Chomba Kawandami fired.
“You are hereby suspended from your position and party pending further investigation, due to your misconduct at the Ministry of Community Development which brought the name of the party into disrepute as per our Party Constitution.”
“Since you have violated the UPND Constitution and Disciplinary regulations, you are by copy of this letter advised to stay from active participation in all party activities until a thorough investigation that has been instituted is concluded”
This was our earlier story:
We will have PS Fired -Matomola
UPND Youth Cadre, Matomola Tom Likwanya has pledged to immediately have the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, Ms Angela Chomba Kawandami, fired.
Matomola led a group of UPND youths went to dictate who should be granted contracts under the Ministry.
Both President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND Secretary General, Batuke Imenda habr a solemn duty to reprimand cadres defiling the public sector.

UPND needs to make an example of this misguided and entitled zealot. Identify who his friends are watch them carefully as well. This behaviour is never in isolation.
Well done Mr. Mwaliteta and UPND. There should be discipline in the party, otherwise we would be reminded of how PF cadres behaved with lawlessness.
Honourable Mwaliteta has done well to suspend Matomola, who exhibited disrespect to a senior officer of the civil service, the behavior is uncouth.Respect to authority is very important. And where do people get courage to start disrespecting senior government officials, this is sad.He was lucky, the police should have arrested him for harassment of a government officer on duty.
This is where I blame the police coz they let small things grow then they fail to handle at the end. The PS also should have called the police so that she stands as a complainant. Anyways, bad things starts as simple as this. Pls Mwaliteta stand your ground coz this will be a campaign on its on, it will show us that you really don’t want PF manners to come back and for that alone people will vote for UPND
Good step by Obvious Mwaliteta. Puffed up know-nothing boys should always be put in their place.
Well done Mr.Mwalateta. We have a situation at NISIR were the sympathisers of UPND are currently being victimised by the pro PF management. It’s pathetic and morale dampening place to work from.
When you see this kind of behaviour, just know that it is rhe de facto policy. Not officially adopted but silently allowed.
UPND cadres were envying their PF counterparts, but they should know that there are consequences for the cadres as well as for the party. Watch these cadres acquire unexplained wealth. Don’t take.us for granted.
Mwaliteta has always been a good leader and has done well to discipline that overzealous IPS. We don’t want indiscipline under UPND. Indeed he’s now on his own.
