MWALOBA LYAUMA, POSTPONEMENT OF ELECTIONS WILL NOT HAPPEN – HH.
UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says those advocating for the postponement of this August’s polls will not succeed because it is unconstitutional.
Speaking when he featured on Radio Icengelo’s special programme this afternoon, Hichilema said the August 12 elections will go ahead as scheduled by the ECZ in line with the provisions of the Republican constitution.
“We have heard some manuvours to postpone the August 12, 2021 elections. That is unconstitutional, it will not happen and Zambians will not allow it because elections must happen on the 12th of August so that Zambians can give themselves hope for a better life. So those advocating for the postponement of elections Mwaloba lyauma,” said Hichilema who is on a campaign trail on the Copperbelt.
