NAKACINDA WRITES NELLY MUTTI, MUNDUBILE REMAINS LEADER OF OPPOSITION

RE: APPOINTMENT OF LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION, PARTY WHIP AND DEPUTY WHIP AND EXPULSION OF MILES SAMPA

Reference is made to the above captioned matter.

Kindly note that the Patriotic Front Party has not changed the office bearers as regards representation in the National Assembly.

For avoidance of doubt and as stated in our letter of the 30th August 2021 received and acknowledged by yourselves on the 31st of August 2021, save for the position of Deputy Party Whip which was previously occupied by Hon. Joseph Malanji, MP, and now occupied by Hon Anthony Kasandwe, MP.

The names as approved by the party are:

  1. Leader of the opposition
  2. Party Whip
  3. Deputy Party Whip

Hon. Brian Mundubile, MP Hon. Stephen Kampyongo, MP Hon. Anthony Kasandwe, MPIn view of the above, kindly ignore the communication to your office by one Morgan Ngona, who is a stranger to the party and is not the Secretary General of the Party.

In any event, you have no basis for acknowledging the said Morgan Ngona as Secretary general of the party, if you do, kindly avail us the same.

Further note that we had communicated to you earlier regarding the expulsion of one Miles Sampa who had earlier held an illegal extra-ordinary conference.

We have not had the courtesy of a response to our letter, yet with speed, you seem to be responding to letters of a person masquerading as a secretary General of the Patriotic front party.

Over and above the said communication, Hon. Ronald Chitotela, MP, did raise a point of order, on the floor of the house relating to the continued stay of Miles Sampa, in the National Assembly in view of his expulsion from the Patriotic Front Party.

Yet, again, there has been no action on your part as National Assembly.

Kindly take note of the positions referred to above and revert to us on your action as regards Miles Sampa.

Yours faithfully,

RAPHAEL MANGANI NAKACINDA SECRETARY GENERAL
