NRPUP wins Kabushi seat with 14,635 votes
NRPUP’s Tilus Sichinga was yesterday declared Member of Parliament for Kabushi Constituency in Ndola after securing a decisive victory in the polls held on August 13, 2026.
Declaring the results at the totaling centre, Returning Officer Wilfred Chilala confirmed that Sichinga polled 14,635 votes, beating eight other contenders in a race that attracted 37,047 total votes, with 1,103 ballots rejected.
UPND’s Emelda Mpupuni finished second with 8,698 votes, while RP’s Fabian Mwanza came third with 7,267 votes.
Independent candidates Mellbin Simangolwa garnered 2,317 votes, Boyd Ngosa polled 1,447 votes, while Edgar Changwe received 608 votes.
ZMP’s Richard Kalasa managed 214 votes, CPF’s Robbin Mchinzi got 160 votes, while SP’s William Ngulube polled 71 votes.
