PF WANT TO FRAGMENT DEMOCRACY DUE TO ELECTION-LOSS DESPERATION – MUTATI

Opposition Movement for Democratic Change president Felix Mutati says the incident in which Chingola police fired live ammunition at UPND Alliance presidential candidate, Hichilema Hakainde’s motorcade on Sunday morning, is the darkest day in the country’s democracy.

During an Alliance partners press briefing that was addressed by the chairperson Charles Milupi, who is Alliance for Democracy and Development president, at the MDC secretariat in Lusaka, Mutati said the shooting incident was as a result of growing desperation in the PF camp.

Speaking at the same event, Hichilema’s running mate Mutale Nalumango said the desperate PF were trying to kill Hichilema because it had dawned on them that there time to exit the corridors of power had come, courtesy of the Zambian people.

Nalumango said the people will not allow Edgar Lungu to stage a coup on the Zambian Constitution.
