Police dismayed over letter sent to Zimbabwe Embassy on ‘Why Me’s’ arrest

Zambia Police Service says it is dismayed by reports that a named law firm has written to the Zimbabwean Embassy alleging that Zambia Police officers abducted Francis Kapwepwe commonly known as ‘Why Me’.
Recently, lawyers representing Kapwepwe, Makebi Zulu advocates, wrote to the Zimbabwean government to know whether the Zambia Police Service was allowed to apprehend him in that country.
The lawyers are also reported to have written to Inspector General Police Graphael Musamba demanding that he should explain where he was being kept since his apprehension in Zimbabwe in June.
But, in a statement yesterday, Zambia Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga stated that the apprehension of a suspect formed part of lawful evidence, which could only be adduced in the court of

Whatever means was used, it is commendable that Why Me was apprehended and brought back to face the law.

It’s only in Zambia where embeciles, thieves, criminals and other social misfits are celebrated. Is Zambia a cursed country? This is a new culture to our country. There are people in prisons who are serving long sentences for stealing a chicken. We don’t see lawyers offering free services to defend these petty thieves why? What morals do we have as a people? For all those supporting this embecile, who has no respect even to his biological parents take this idiot into their homes. Is this the Zambia we aspire for? We now have the so called “leaders ” who are promoting anarchy in this country. The motive is very suspicious. This country has never seen this type of politics before, where children like “why me” are celebrated and made heroes overnight for insulting the president .The investigative wings must up their game before this country is set on fire. This is not politics at all. I leave it here lest am misunderstood. I have been around for six decades I know what I am talking about. Why should this boy get so much attention for insulting the president sure? This is strange and unheard of. God will judge you accordingly.
