POSITIVE CHANGE IS HERE
The Republican Vice President Mrs Mutale Nalumango has assured the people of Kaumbwe constituency in Petauke district of positive change they voted for on 12 th August 2021as evidenced by translating development agenda in Zambia.
Mrs Nalumango says UPND government is set on delivering development for the benefit of every Zambian.
And Mrs Nalumango said the New Dawn government will not allow a situation where individuals keep Millions of Kwacha in their houses when a project that is supposed to benefit many people such as constructing a bridge in Kaumbwe constituency costs K400,000.
“You have heard that people connected to the former ruling party were found with Millions of kwacha, 65million cash and some dollars while here in Kaumbwe a project to build a bridge costs as low as K400,000.
We are a rich country the only problem is that our colleagues in the former ruling party put money into their pockets at the expense of projects that would benefit many Zambians.”The vice president recalled.
Addressing people in Lunene ward of Kaumbwe constituency,
The Vice President said government is aware of some of the challenges being faced in the agriculture sector.
“PF planned and budgeted to buy 500, 000 metric tonnes of maize but since we had more harvest we added 400,000 metric tonnes more to carter for farmers that did not manage to sell maize and government has continued to buy to avoid wastage.
Here in Kaumbwe we planned to buy 24,000 metric tonnes but we have purchased 29,000 metric tonnes to ensure that all those that brought maize at the Satellite deport are cartered for.
Am told that everyone is paid for the supply of maize except for one or two people who will be paid soon.
The Headmen briefed me about their concerns on FISP and other challenges, the Minister will launch distribution of fertilizer on Monday, 18 th October 2021 and you will all have your farming input.
The delay in fertilizer distribution was due to the failures by the PF to bring in fertilizer on time.
I will not give you more details on some of these things because some maybe arrested.” Mrs Nalumango narrated.
“We have had to take responsibility for the mismanagement of former ruling party.
Government is resolved to find lasting solutions on the youths through skills development and empowerment.
“Vote for Esnart Sakala to represent you in parliament she understands our manifesto and will bring development to you” She said.
And Mrs Nalumango assured the people of Kaumbwe and the nation at large that Zambia being a rich country under the New Dawn therewill be equal distribution of resources.
“I have inspected some bridges that are critical for movements, we will come and repair the bridges starting with the one at Zumaili”She assured.
