PRESIDENT EDGAR LUNGU STEPS IN AND ASSISTS 87 STRANDED UPND MEMBERS

HIS EXCELLENCY, President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has come to the aid of 87 stranded opposition UPND members who traveled from North Western Province to witness the filing in of nominations for Hakainde Hichilema.

The Head of State has provided transport and other logistics to the victims of what they describe as, “UPND’s hypocrisy” and have since ditched the opposition political party to join the ruling Patriotic Front.

They were received at the PF Lusaka Province Offices by Chairman Kennedy Kamba in the company of his Provincial Executive and immediate past Minister of Transport and Communications who is also PF aspiring Member of Parliament for Lunte Constituency Hon Mutotwe Kafwaya.

Just yesterday, the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) under the Office of the Vice President equally came to the aid of another group of stranded party cadres who had traveled to witness the filing in of nomination by an Independent Presidential candidates.
