Rep. Melanie Stansbury Makes It Crystal Clear. A Ceasefire Does NOT Make Trump Fit to Serve.

In the span of minutes, the President of the United States threatened to commit war crimes, then announced a two-week ceasefire as if that erases everything that came before it.

Representative Melanie Stansbury isn’t letting him off the hook. And she’s right.

Let’s be honest about what happened. Trump did not suddenly become stable. He did not suddenly become measured. He did not suddenly become fit to lead the most powerful military on earth. He made a threat that sent shockwaves across the country. Calls for the 25th Amendment came from both sides of the aisle, from former allies, from people who spent years defending him.

And then, moments later, a ceasefire announcement. As if we all have amnesia.

This is not leadership. This is damage control. There is a massive difference between the two.

Rep. Stansbury put it simply and directly: Just because a president announces a ceasefire moments after threatening war crimes does not mean he is suddenly fit to serve.

She is right. Fitness for office is not measured in moments. It is measured in a pattern. And the pattern here is undeniable.

The 25th Amendment exists for exactly this. Not for presidents who make mistakes. For presidents who demonstrate, repeatedly, that they cannot be trusted with the power they hold.

A ceasefire doesn’t reset the clock. It doesn’t erase the words. It doesn’t change the pattern.

Like and share if you stand with Melanie and believe a last-minute ceasefire announcement does NOT make someone fit to serve as Commander in Chief.
