Roberto Carlos claims he has lost the majority of his massive £133million fortune
The Brazil legend has said that a family member and a former agent have cost him “99 per cent” of his wealth. Carlos has urged younger football players to learn from his misfortune after several personal issues
Carlos said: 🗣️ “I had problems with people who left me with zero money. Because of agents and family issues, I lost 99 per cent of everything I had earned in football.
“I made mistakes, and that’s why I ask younger players not to make the same mistakes.”
The legendary left-back earned a massive £133m fortune throughout a career that included winning the 2002 World Cup with Brazil. Carlos was also signed to a reported £85,000-a-week deal while spending the 2011-12 season at Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala 😲
Carlos has noted that his enormous fortune was nearly wiped away overnight as a result of his personal issues.
“On a Thursday, I went to bed at midnight, and on Friday, I received a bunch of papers I didn’t even know existed. That’s when I lost my entire history.”
The World Cup winner’s 15-year marriage ended in 2025, leading to a battle for his huge fortune.
Carlos has claimed to have fathered 11 children with seven different women, marrying his third wife Soheila Tahiri, earlier in 2026
