The invading Russian forces currently operating inside Ukrainian territory have no more than three days worth of food and ammunition left, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry claimed in its daily situational update on Tuesday.
The reports notes that the Russian forces are facing similar challenges with fuel, which they are trying to resolve using tanker vehicles. Russia’s use of vulnerable tanker trucks is being attributed to their inability to establish a pipeline for delivering fuel, according to the Ukrainian update.
Several experts have warned that Russia may be facing an unsustainable amount of troop and equipment losses in Ukraine which could force the invasion to grind into a bloody stalemate.
