Satellite Images Reveal Destroyed U.S. AWACS Aircraft at Saudi Air Base

New satellite images appear to show significant damage to U.S. aircraft at a military installation in Saudi Arabia.

The imagery highlights the wreckage of an Boeing E-3 Sentry airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft, reportedly destroyed following an Iranian strike on Prince Sultan Air Base on March 27.

Photos captured on March 29 show the aircraft’s fuselage heavily damaged, with the distinctive radar dome normally mounted above the aircraft visible on the ground nearby. Several vehicles can also be seen positioned around the wreckage.

While additional aircraft appear parked in the open at the base, the full scope of damage and operational impact remains unclear. There has been no immediate official confirmation from U.S. or Saudi authorities regarding the incident.
