SAUDI ARABIA SIGNALS CLOSER TIES WITH IRAN AND RUSSIA

Saudi Arabia is reportedly set to strengthen its ties with Iran and Russia as Riyadh seeks to preserve regional stability, amid tensions over Yemen and the U.S. military posture in the Middle East.

The development comes after reports that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged President Donald Trump to launch U.S. strikes against Ansarullah (the Houthis) in Yemen, a request Trump reportedly rejected.

U.S. officials have said the Trump administration currently does not plan to take direct military action against Ansarullah.

The shift could further highlight Riyadh’s growing emphasis on regional diplomacy and strategic ties with Tehran and Moscow, rather than relying solely on U.S. military intervention to address security threats.
