Simon Chitambala Mwewa has officially announced his intention to run for Mayor of Lusaka in the 2026 elections.
In a bold declaration, he stated:
“I’ve decided to stand as Mayor of Lusaka, 2026.”
The announcement sets the stage for what is expected to be a highly contested race for control of the capital city between him and his cousin, the current mayor, Chilando Chitangala
