State Secretely Trying to Exhume Body of Mutotwe Kafwaya
Reports from Lunte in Mporokoso district show that a large contingent of unidentified officers have been lurking and lingering around the Kafwaya grave yard.
The former Cabinet Minister and former Lunte Member of Parliament was killed in cold blood in a military raid, an assault carried on leadind presidential candidate, Brian Mundubile’s home on 14th of August 2026.
Kafwaya was later buried on August 30, 2026, at Kafwaya Village in Lunte.
Since last week a group of these unidentified people have been harrassing villagers urging them to help identify which grave holds Hon. Mutotwe Kafwaya.
Family members have expressed alarm that no court orders or authoritative document has been shown to demonstrate why his body must be exhumed or tampered with.
“The State denied us a pathology of our own. The State conducted the autopsy. So what do they want with the body again?” a family member said expressing anger at the conduct of suspected officials.
“It has been a week now. There’s been unknown people coming here in vehicles asking for villagers to help identify the exact burial site of the late Hon. Mutotwe Kafwaya.”
“Last week they had over seven vehicles. The vehicles and number of people has kept.on increasing” .
“Today in the morning, a Toyota Prado with three (3) men and a woman asking for the burial site. But the villagers have not coopersted so far. They have been telling them it’s not here and they go to next village and they’re told the same while villagers have kept vigil at the grave site.”
“But today they came with full force.They came with the police and more cars and chased anyone found at the graveside.”
“We appeal to President Hichilema to help respect Mutotwe Kafwaya. Why are they doing this? If they want the body why dont they seek family consent? Now they want to conduct another postmortem without the consent of the family? Is this becoming a pattern after what they did to the body of the late President( (Edgar Lungu)” a senior citizen lamented.
Total BS.The unknown people don’t know Mutotwe Kafwaya’s grave and yet they came in force a chased villagers from the grave yard.There are no pictures yet the unknown people are many with so many vehicles coming so many times.Not even local police have been informed
