I’m sure Parliament has a provision for maternity leave for mothers of newly-born babies. As for why she travelled to the USA just to deliver, I honestly do not understand. Surely Zambia has adequate maternity capacity in its hospitals. It’s a sign of how much money the Lungu family has. They can afford to travel to the USA just for one of their members to give birth there.
A child born in the USA becomes a USA citizen by birth.
That is the reason why she went there to give birth.
