THE CRIMES LIST OF  ‘MIRACLE’ JJ BANDA – A RECAP.

Here is a quick recap of why we are here and a reminder to all that legal and moral justice is still pending and must be served in a number of matters for JJ Banda.

1. The Urination Incident.

It is on record that Emmanuel Jay Banda assaulted and urinated in the mouth of a Chipata based Post correspondent, Peter Sukwa and further assaulted him and another journalist as they went to Chikoka area to verify reports that PF cadres were aiding Malawians to get Zambian National Registration Cards and voters’ cards.

2. The Police Merciless Beating Incident

Another matter, is when Emmanuel Jay Jay Banda was then PF’s Eastern Province Youth Chairperson. In 2020,  Banda was facing aggravated robbery charges and police had declared him most wanted after he had mobilised armed PF cadres and stormed Lusaka Central Police where they beat up some officers on duty and got away with an undisclosed amount of money, believed to have been ceased from them in a raid. The Police had to beg him to report himself as they failed to find him. He was later fined K150 by the Lusaka High Court.

3. The Staged Abduction Incident

Turn of Events for JJ started in January, 2024, when the journalist Peter Sukwa reached out to the Human Rights Commission, urging them to intervene and revive the urination case as Jay Jay was only fined K14,000.This case started gaining attention.

On 25th May, 2024 Independent MP Emmanuel Banda staged his own abduction in the early hours of Saturday morning leaving his car by the roadside with a note inside. Binwell Mpundu and friends came out guns blazing saying he had been abducted and blamed it on Statehouse. He resurfaced later on Sunday night at a farm in a town some 43km south of Lusaka.

4. The Great Escape Incident

He was arrested and after some time in police cells he pretended to be gravely ill. He was then taken to hospital where he, working with other law enforcement officers managed to escape.
