THERE’S NO SPECIFIC DATE WHEN CITIZENS WILL START RECEIVING ELECTRICITY 24/7 – MAKOZO
ENERGY Minister Makozo Chikote says there is no specific date when citizens will start receiving uninterrupted power supply but predicts electricity stability in 2026.
Meanwhile, Chikote says Zesco only managed to collect $81 million against the target of $140 million from the emergency tariffs, citing load shedding as one of the reasons for not meeting the target.
He adds that the Ministry was shocked that those who were targeted as consumers consuming above 200 units in a month dropped to under 200 units consumption.
When asked during a Parliamentary Committee on Energy when citizens could expect to receive uninterrupted power, Chikote said 24/7 power supply depended on the completion of alternative power projects. “How do we communicate to our citizens…

Good for you.
We, as voters, have a specific date when we will vote incompetent thieves out of office.
REJECT TRIBALISM, CORRUPTION AND OPPRESSION.
VOTE FOR CHANGE IN 2026.
This minister does not inspire me!
So it’s another chimbwi no plan?
The Minister should be confident of himself and about what he is doing but at the same time to be faithful to his word.
However, citizens have to be assured, given hope by the government because the issue of water is not an issue as of now or if so may be by just 20% because this was and has been the song from the time we were hit by the drought, though the bumper harvest of maize was as a result of good rains and this to extend makes some section of society doubt about being the issue or problem. Let alone addition sources of electricity, coal and solar
Let the supply of electricity to citizens be a priority. We know ba PF left a huge otherwise big debt which is the Ministry of Energy and ZESCO is struggling to clear through the sale of power to good paying entities but at whose expense?
Get this clear. It is first at the expence of;
1. The UPND government in power because ( UPND continuity in government depends on the big numbers of votes that come from the compounds – this you should know Mr. Minister) these PF mwankolez are destroyers and did borrow using ZESCO without paying for it, a deliberately move deliberately done the same as for fuel. So as a party in government you have to balance things.
2. At the expense of Zambians. But what need to know is that, even when you try to make things well at ZESCO by fully paying of the dabt, selling electricity to mines and exporting Power in order to raise forex these destroyers are politicizing the issue and if they had a credible and organised leader and party and as people are complaining about electricity and fuel they give them chance, there and then, it will mean, all the efforts or that you are tirelessly trying by all means to correct by rationing and starving Zambians will be destroyed because you could not have been there again to continue what you are doing. So the better way to resolve these issues is to balance them well , and more importantly think of and about the majority poor people in the highly densily population citizens in the compounds of Lusaka and copperbelt among many ither compounds. Please it is not to late to please them again. Just one good move will earn you and the government praises. THINK ABOUT THIS – It is not too or has not been too long for some people to start forgetting the hell that PF and Lungu did to Zambians. Killings, gassing, corruption etc vut tgey still now priase this devil even when peace and security at individual level was gotten away from them or us. Just imagine what some citizens level of thinking is, So it is up to you to think of adjusting mostly of the decisions you made now and onwards especially on electricity and fuel ( for fuel the monthly adjustments is abnomal it disturbs planning and can not help in anyway redicing prices and cost of living never), on fuel give citizens especislly thise in low income brackets in our compound power do that they can manourver and make a living otherwise ummmmmmm!!! You may ignor this and continue but what is important again is reaching to the end.

There is no specific date which means we shall never have power 24/7.
