JUST IN: TONSE ALLIANCE URGES HH TO TAME UPND OFFICIALS OVER MUNDUBILE COMMENTS
Tonse Alliance has urged President Hakainde Hichilema to “rise above board” and manage UPND officials who, according to the alliance, are proclaiming Hon. Brian Mundubile guilty before due process.
The alliance has specifically criticised UPND Media Director Mark Simuuwe, accusing him of acting like a police investigator and jury by labelling its leaders guilty.
Tonse Alliance says President Mundubile and the 17 others remain innocent under the principle of lawful presumption of innocence, describing the allegations against them as politically engineered.
The alliance has also called for respect for due process and urged authorities to consider calls for peace and unity in the country.
