TONSE-PAMODZI ALLIANCE WANTS CANDIDATES WHO WITHDRAW TO REFUND CAMPAIGN EXPENSES

Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance Secretary General Muhabi Lungu has proposed that candidates adopted by the alliance who later withdraw from an election should be required to refund the money spent on their campaigns.

Mr Lungu says the proposed measure should apply to future adoptions to ensure that candidates who withdraw take responsibility for the financial resources invested in their campaigns.

“We recommend that going forward, any candidate adopted by the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance who withdraws from an election should be required to pay back the money spent on their campaign,” says Mr Lungu.
