TRUMP DEMANDS OMAR RESIGN IMMEDIATELY: “NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE” IS LAWYER-SPEAK FOR GUILTY
President Trump tore into Rep. Ilhan Omar after she answered “not to my knowledge” when asked if she married her own brother, calling the response a classic admission of guilt crafted by lawyers.
“I said no. I said what? Now think of it, not—she said not—you know that statement is given by a lawyer, right? That’s what a lawyer tells you to answer when you’re guilty. Just say, not to my knowledge,” Trump said.
He argued the evasive reply, combined with court documents listing her as Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, proves she used a false name to enter Congress and commit fraud.
“Therefore, because she used a fake name to be sworn in, I assume she must immediately resign from Congress,” Trump declared.
Trump then issued a direct call to House leadership: “Hear ye, hear ye, please inform the Speaker of the House of Representatives, James Michael Johnson, that the Democrat Party has just conceded her seat. Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, her real name, has openly admitted to fraud, and she will not be legally allowed to be a member of that august body.”
Critics have long alleged Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009 to facilitate immigration benefits. The claims gained new traction after federal agents raided her home and court filings surfaced using the full name matching her ex-husband. Omar has repeatedly denied the allegations, but Trump and supporters say her latest phrasing only confirms what the records already show.
