U.S. forces reportedly used dozens of interceptors against Iranian missiles and drones
According to the claim, U.S. forces fired at least 70 Patriot interceptors and 14 THAAD interceptors in response to 21 Iranian missiles and drones.
The figures would indicate a significant expenditure of air-defense interceptors relative to the number of incoming threats, although the numbers have not been independently verified.
❓The development also raises questions about how Iran might respond if U.S. CENTCOM coordinates with Saudi forces against the Houthis, including whether Iranian forces could target U.S. bases or air-defense interceptor stocks in the region.
