Uebert Angel Exposed in Al Jazeera Terror Group Investigation — Zimbabwe Delegation Paid Thousands for Fake UK Rally
Barely days after admitting to a ZimEye investigation that he was detained overnight at Dubai Airport over passports bearing different dates of births, Zimbabwean preacher (and Chin’ono-great journalist- Maynard Manyowa’s spiritual father), Uebert Angel has surfaced in an explosive Al Jazeera undercover investigation exposing payments to far-right operatives linked to a proscribed terrorist organisation.
The documentary, Contract Killers and the Far Right, exposes how Angel, then Zimbabwe’s ambassador-at-large, attended a staged anti-sanctions rally in Glasgow during COP26 in 2021.
The Zimbabwean delegation was filmed handing over £2,600 to organisers who recruited paid supporters, including convicted criminal Allan Nesbitt, identified as a member of the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF), a banned terrorist organisation.
The organisers were secretly recorded discussing contract killings, shootings, stabbings and weapons smuggling. Nesbitt even described his associates as “terrorists” and “trained killers.”
Some paid demonstrators could barely remember what they had been instructed to say in support of Zimbabwe.
The investigation raises explosive questions: Who authorised the payments? Did Angel know who was being paid? And where did the money ultimately go?
Al Jazeera’s footage does not establish that Angel knew of the terrorist connections or personally financed terrorism. But it places his diplomatic mission inside a paid political operation organised through individuals with documented paramilitary links.
From Dubai’s passport controversy to Glasgow’s paid far-right operatives, Uebert Angel faces fresh questions demanding answers.
