 CDF GEN MUHOOZI ORDERS ARREST OF RETIRED GENERAL OVER ‘EXCESSIVE’ DANCING!

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has revealed that one retired UPDF general has been arrested following the controversial dancing saga that rocked a military retirement ceremony in August.

The retired officers came under the spotlight after videos of senior military officials dancing energetically during a retirement ceremony near State House went viral, attracting criticism from Gen. Muhoozi, who described the conduct as excessive and inappropriate.

Among the retired officers was former CDF Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala, alongside other high-ranking UPDF generals who were seen enjoying the celebrations.

Following the incident, Muhoozi took to X and warned that dancing by generals would no longer be tolerated, ordering investigations and threatening disciplinary action against those involved.

Now, his latest revelation that one of the retired generals has been arrested has added a dramatic twist to the controversy.

The development underscores Muhoozi’s continued emphasis on military discipline, conduct and authority within the UPDF, including his firm stance on the behaviour of senior officers even after retirement.

The arrest has already sparked fresh debate online, with Ugandans questioning where the line should be drawn betweenP military discipline and personal freedom during retirement celebrations.
